Vous êtes un chercheur’’ is correct?!
‘Vous êtes un chercheur, spécialiste des conflits, pro de ce qu’on appelle le dialogue humanitaire.’ I get this text from a French programme ‘Pour Info’. Why it’s correct with breaking the rule of omitting the indefinite with professions?
This question relates to:French lesson "When not to use un/une while stating people's occupations or professions in French (Zero Article) "

Bonjour Zilin,
In my opinion, I don't think there should be the indefinite article with the comma.
Take a look at the examples below:
Vous êtes un chercheur spécialiste des conflits.
-> qualified ("spécialiste" is a sort of "adjective") so the indefinite article is used.
Vous êtes chercheur, spécialiste de conflits
-> describing a (bare) profession along with a comma so, the indefinite article is used (as you've learnt so far)
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
