It is as a contraction. Like don't for do not. In the familiar form - t'as beaucoup de choses. Donald le canard.

Have a read the attached - you are asking about the difference between formal 'elision', and informal contractions/pronunciations/spelling used regularly in spoken French (referred to by some as 'gliding'), and in informal writing (eg email/sms). Tu never elides, but "Tu as" is regularly pronounced "T'as" in informal, everyday speech. Spoken French is substantially different from formal written French.
