Bonjour Grace,
In English, we say, "I am going to get dressed," but in French, the grammar requires that "who" and "what" be specified.
So we have two pronouns. One is the subject pronoun and the other is the reflexive pronoun.
In English this would be written "I am going to get myself dressed, where I is the subject and myself the reflexive
So to repeat your question "Why twice?" then the answer is as described above -- 1)subject pronoun and
2) reflexive pronoun.
Bonne continuation
Jim
