"you would go there"

"You would go there" is translated as "Tu irais la-bas..." above. Could it also be: "Tu y irais?

Hi Lorie, 

If you know where 'là-bas' or 'y' is,  I can confirm that you can say both, although as Alan points out you would probably say,

 'Tu irais là-bas' 

as it is easier to understand orally...

Except that "y" is normally omitted, for phonetic reasons, before the future or conditional of aller, so I think it would just be "Tu irais" .
