A Lazy WeekendThis week, we’re having a lazy weekend to recuperate from a hectic rentrée. 🦥😴 And let’s start this deliciously laid-back day with a very French expression: faire la grasse matinée. While English speakers simply “sleep in” or “have a lie-in”, the French literally “make a fat morning”. This idiom dates back to the 16th century, when gras/grasse (fat) referred to something thick and indulgent, just like the luxurious depth of a deep sleep, uninterrupted by a pesky alarm! 🛌 Alors, sans plus attendre, make yourselves your favourite hot drink, go back under the covers and binge all the comforting French KwizIQ content we’ve selected for you! ☕🤗 Pour ou Contre ?
