The verb conduire (to drive) is irregular, as are other -UIRE verbs*.

*The following verbs ending in -uire follow the same conjugation pattern:

produire (to produce)
cuire (to bake/cook)
traduire (to translate)
construire (to construct/build)
détruire (to destroy)
séduire (to seduce)
déduire (to deduct)
etc

Tu détruis sa réputation.You're destroying his reputation.

Le dîner cuit.The dinner is cooking.

Nous produisons trois cent tonnes de citrons par an.We produce three hundred tons of lemons a year.

Vous traduisez l'anglais.You translate English.

Ces producteurs déduisent toujours cela du prix total.These producers always deduct this from the total price.
