If people speak French in your country, then your country belongs to Francophony. In the world, 57 countries or regions are francophone, like Switzerland, Quebec and Ivory Coast. Sometimes, French is the only official language. That means that children learn French at school, and that the media are in French. In 26 countries, French is one of the official languages. For example, Canadians speak French and English, and in Belgium, there are three languages: French, Dutch and German.
