The temperature went below freezing last night, and this morning, everything was covered in a thick layer of ice. Unfortunately, my car didn't escape (it)! I had to spend half an hour scraping my windshield, and that was only the beginning! Once behind the wheel, I very quickly realised that no one had salted the road which leads to the main street. As a result, the journey that I make every morning turned into an obstacle course! I finally managed to get to work safe and sound, but by driving at a snail's pace. I was an hour late! Tonight, I'll leave earlier in order to avoid having to drive at night on top of everything else!
