Aren’t eng millions fr millions?

Question

The asks to translate Nigeria's population is more than one hundred million people.The answer given was ‘milliards de’. But isn’t milliards used for billions?

I have checked the quiz question and the only answers accepted ( for the reason you quote) should be -
100 millions de /cent millions de 
So if this is not the case please use the Report it button on your correction board but double-check first as there is only a skeleton staff because of the holiday period.

I am confused- why isn't "cent mille" correct and only "cent millions de" correct in this exercise?

If you are referring to this particular question -
cent mille = 100 thousands = 100,000
cent millions de = 100 millions = 100,000,000 
Not the same thing!
