ça or il/elle?

Hi there, why is it 'La grammaire francaise? Je trouve ça trop difficile,' and not 'Je trouve elle trop difficile?'

Thanks!

Bonjour TL,

Here, "ça" (a pronoun meaning "that" or "it") is used to refer to an idea, situation, or general concept rather than a specific noun. In the example you mentioned, the pronoun "ça" refers to the entire idea of "La grammaire francaise/French grammar" being difficult.

Take a look here for more details: J'adore ça vs. J'ladore. I still don't understand the difference.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
