can one say "pour y parvenir" to equate with "pour en arriver là?" If not why?

It was from the writing challenge and the sentence said something like After all the studying, lost vacations, etc, we know that you have worked hard to get here....obtaining his bac.

I would have loved a comment from the native speakers on this question. My understanding tells me that they are practically identical in meaning.
