Conditional of préférer

Why was "préférerais" marked wrong when it is what I believe to be the conditional, i.e. second "e" has an acute accent not a grave as you has said.

Patricia,

both spellings are correct and acceptable.

Looking at the lesson, they are also both listed as accepted options, with “ préférerais “ actually listed first when I ran through it.

Might be worth rechecking the response and ‘ marking ‘ and submit a comment directly to the help desk if necessary.

Patricia,

Just to add to Maarten's answer, I have checked and both spellings should be accepted. If this is not the case, please contact us via the report-it feature on your correction board.
