Definite article with names of continents/countries/counties/regions/states
This question relates to:French lesson "Continents/countries/counties/regions/states are masculine, feminine or plural in French (Gender)"
Asked 2 weeks ago
Bonjour H,
In French, continents, countries, regions, and some cities (La Rochelle, Le Havre...)use a definite article.
À = To/in and De = From/of with cities in French (French Prepositions of Location)
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
