Étre vs avoir with subjunctive

Nous irons à la pizzeria ce soir, ________ fermée.

I answered “à moins qu’elle ait fermée.”

The correction used être to conjugate fermer into the past tense.  Why?

Bonjour Loree,

Although the verb 'fermer' (active voice) takes the auxiliary 'avoir' in its passive form it is être as in -

être fermé = to be closed

So it should have been -

.... à moins qu'elle ne soit fermée

Bonne Continuation !
