Gender of dimension adjectives

In the lesson about dimensions, you say "Note that in this case the adjectives haut/long/large/profond agree in gender and number with the subject they refer to."

But you only give a gender agreement example for "profond". Do "haut" or "long " or "large" change spelling with gender?

Hi Gilberts,

Just to add to what has been said -

In terms of gender:

haut ----> haute

long----> longue

profond ---> profonde

large (stays the same)

 you can add an -s to all of them to make them plural.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gilberts,

"Note that in this case the adjectives haut/long/large/profond agree in gender and number with the subject they refer to."

I have just cut and pasted the above from the lesson that you have quoted.

Does this not already answer your query?

If you look at the examples carefully, it should make the matter clear:

Ces baignoires sont longues de 2 mètres. -- Here, longues (feminine plural) agrees with baignoires. In the singular case it would be: Cette baignoire est longue de 2 mètres. It seems to me that, as Jim says, the note as well as the examples make it clear that all these adjectives of dimension need to agree in gender and number.
