I've always been baffled about when a hyper is used as in this interview "As-tu..."  Je bison d'aide!

Inverting subject and verb makes the question more formal. Someone who is a friend could have said instead "Tu as des frères et soeurs?"

Agree with John, but just add "with raised intonation".

Quand vous faites commencer une phrase avec un verbe, vous liez le verbe avec la personne-sujet avec le tiret ("dash" en l'anglais que je parle)
