Ils vous plaira
je suis sûre qu'ils vous plaira ! This was a sentence in the fill in the blanks quiz, The translation was I am sure you will love it, I’m confused by the use of ils.
This question relates to:French lesson "Me/te/nous/vous = Me/you/us/you (French Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns)"
Asked 5 years ago

Hi Rod,
If it is plaira it will be the singular- 'il'
il plaira à vous------> il vous plaira = You will like it
If it was in the plural, it would be -ils
Ils vous plairont ( Ils plairont à vous) = You will like them
Hope this helps!
