In the exercise how is "ils" a verb?
This question relates to:French lesson "Difference between subjects, objects and pronouns - Grammar Point"
Asked 1 year ago
Salut Tope,
I'm unclear about which exercise you mean, but ils is a third-person plural subject pronoun.
The subject acts on the object directly or indirectly by using a verb -- the sentence structure is subject, verb, object (direct/indirect) in the simplest form.
Please post again if you need further support or clarification.
Bonne continuation

"Ils" does the action. The person's name has been replaced with a subject pronoun in the third-person plural form.
