Is the sentence below correct?

Nous avons visité une exposition qu'un ami a recommandée.

If 'que' referred to 'un musée', then the past participle would lack the final 'e'?

This question relates to:French lesson "Special cases when the past participle agrees (in number & gender) when used with 'avoir' in the compound past in French (Le Passé Composé)"

Yes, correct. With que referring to une exposition, the participle assumes the female ending. If it referred to un musée, it would be without the final -e.
