Coca, 

this a straight forward, direct translation of the English phrase and tense ‘ I will always cherish the night …. ‘ 

It is a description and prediction of something continuing  into the future,  long term. It is not just an event that is happening soon and will then finish which might give rise to the use of French future proche, or in more restricted near future situations, the French present tense. 

When English uses “ will do “ something, it is almost always appropriate to use the future simple in French translation.
