The lesson contains no statement on how le conditional passé is formed, leaving the student to infer the rule from examples alone. I don't find that a great way to learn. Looking at some of the Q&A on this lesson from others it seems I'm not alone.

Le Conditionnel Passé
This question relates to:French lesson "Conjugate verbs (+ être) in the conditional past in French (Le Conditionnel Passé)"

This is the "root lesson" for the conditionel passé: https://french.kwiziq.com/revision/glossary/verb-tense-mood/the-french-past-conditional-le-conditionnel-passe

yes I agree with Rob - its a confusing lesson - even looking at the root lesson as referred to by Chris above doesn't explain the use of conditionnel passé with PQP in a 'si' statement - for example
Nous serions arrivés (conditionnel passe) plus tôt s'il n'y avait pas eu ('si' statement with plus que parfait) d'embouteillage.
its not at all helpful
