Please explain Je me fiche des autres options

Je me fiche des autres options. Please explain how what appears to be I (me) fiche (care?????) about other option is somehow in the negative?

There is no 'negation' in the sentence in French but the phrase with the reflexive verb 'se ficher' «je me fiche de . . .» translates (in informal/familiar speech) to a negative statement in English 'I don't care about... "
