Quiz question - is it correct?
Kwiziq suggests that all the following are good answers:
Le garçon dont tu parles s'appelle Thomas.
Le garçon duquel tu parles s'appelle Thomas.
Le garçon de qui tu parles s'appelle Thomas.
I believe only the first is correct. I don't think you use use duquel for human beings and It cannot be de qui because it does not make sense because of the pronoun.

Yes all are correct. Qui can mean whom so de qui=of whom, duquel can refer to people,much as auquel for verbs that take à.
