Still baffled

Please can you explain this lesson.  Even the examples don't seem to fit the explanation

The lesson tries to convey that you only use the subjunctive with these words when they are in the negative:

Je pense qu'il vient. -- I think he'll come. (vient = Indicative)
Je ne pense pas qu'il vienne. -- I don't think he'll come. (vienne = subjunctive)
