Unsure of the correct translation of D Day I turned to wordreference. They start with Le Jour J. Why is that incorrect?

Translation of D Day
This question relates to:French writing exercise "Visiting the Memorial Museum in Caen"
Asked 1 day ago
Hi Alan, I struggle with this also. WordReference also has le Débarquement:

As far as I can see "Le Jour J" would be fine in all other contexts except the Normandy Landings of 1944.
Anyone else out there please feel free to comment.
Paul.

Changing the English script to ‘ where the D Day landings took place ….’ would more specifically translate to ‘ le Débarquement ‘ in French.
