Can I translate:

"These experiences would make me a better cook,"

as

"Ces expériences *me feraient* un meilleur cuisinier,"

[the given answer which I am not arguing with = "Ces expériences *feraient de moi* un meilleur cuisinier,"]

Hi all,

The expression is ‘faire de moi’ which means literally ‘to make of me’. 

e.g.

Cette expérience a fait de moi une militante = This experience has made me an activist

Tous ces changements ont fait de moi une personne plus forte = These changes have made a stronger person of me

Est-ce que cela fait de moi un travailleur autonome?Does this make me a self-employed worker?

You cannot say ‘ m’a fait’ but in all these examples but you could change the pronouns to - toi, elle, lui, nous, vous, elles, eux
