Rencontrer is more of a chance meeting, not an arranged one. It can also be the first introduction to someone.

Retrouver is "to meet up" or to meet someone again after a long time.

Here is a good resource: https://www.frenchtoday.com/blog/french-verb-conjugation/to-meet-up/

Hi Archana,

Given that the meeting was a regular arrangement between friends then I think that "retrouver" is the most appropriate in the sense of "meeting again".

Rejoindre takes a sense of "meeting / appointment"

Rencontrer takes a sense of "being introduced"

Let's see what others may offer, but this my understanding of how the three options would rank in this context.

Bonne journée

Jim
