Une maman epanouie

J'ai utilise "ce nouveau cahot" au lieu de "ce nouveau chaos".  Est-il assez pareil en sens?

 Bonjour Michele,

‘Cahot’ and ‘chaos’ are homonyms as they sound the same. However, their meanings are different.

J’ai ressentie un cahot = I felt a bump

La voiture a été secouée par un cahot = the car was struck by a bump

J’ai ressentie le chaos m’envahir I felt chaos come over me

Ma vie est un vrai chaos = my life is a real mess

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée!

Le cahot means bump, le chaos is chaos. I didn't listen to the exercise but those two words are not usually stand-ins for one another.

Haha. Yes in context I reckon that's a pretty good answer. It would certainly would have been a jolt, a shock. And I certainly wouldn't be able to hear the difference in pronunciation (not that I am an expert).
