What do you mean by "like"?

"Verbs like jouer or crier become je jouerai ou je crierai.

Even though we don't pronounce the "e", it is still there as part of the infinitive:"

You can replace this word with 'such as' or 'for example'. The word 'like' is used here as a preposition. 

e.g.

She looks best in bright, vibrant colours, like red and pink.
