What happens when you refer to this idea later?

How would I say, " Reading is my favorite pass-time, it relaxes me"? Where "it" refers to reading. 

This question relates to:French lesson "Using the infinitive form of verbs to express the English "-ING""

You would say - 

 

Ça me relaxe

Because it is the action of reading.

Hi Danielle,

If you were to use the noun "lecture" it would be possible to refer back to "la lecture" as "elle"
