Hi Sally,

'De ce pas' means, 'right away', 'immediately', 'at once'...

Pas in this sense means 'step' , literally 'with this step'.

e.g.

J'y vais de ce pas = I am going at once

That looks like a typo  to me. If "ce" were "ne" it would make sense.
