"will ever be" translation
"Will ever be" was one of the vocabulary terms given at the start of the exercise, but I couldn't find it. Then, "être un jour capable" was the phrase used in the exercise. Please explain this usage. Thanks.

Indeed, as Chris wrote, in this context of ever, this is the correct colloquial use of un jour. However, I agree it's quite a tricky case, even for C1, so I've decided to add a hint here to make it more straightforward :)

I don't think there exists an "explanation" for the use of un jour meaning "ever". It simply is idiomatic.
