You don't pronounce the e after the i.

is this the same for all future tenses?

for example jouer - becomes je jouerai so you dont pronounce the e after this i either?

Bonjour Clara,

This only applies for semi-regular -oyer/-ayer/-uyer verbs that are listed in the lesson. Therefore, it won't apply to "jouer":

Conjugate regular -er and -ir verbs in the future tense in French (Le Futur Simple)

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Jouerai does not have the “I” before the “e”as in paierai. The “I” is simply taking the place of the “y” as in “ payerai. You don’t pronounce the ‘y” as in payer or essayer. So since the spelling is interchangeable, “À mon avis” I would use the “y” in lieu of the “I” spelling to prevent any mispronunciation.
