Hi can you please clarify why this sentence is not correct on the A1 test
puis je vais rencontrer mon ami Victor pour le brunch
It seems that the word 'rencontrer' is not an option
Many thanks :)

Dear All,
Thank you for everything you do. I am learning so much from you. Have question about the past week's Writing Challenge: shouldn't "laisse" have an "s" at the end as "les" is a preceding DO? Nous les avons laisse faire connaissance.... Please excuse my lack of accents.
Best,
Leah
Bonjour Leah !
This is actually a very specific case here, which is the fact that "laisser" is followed by an infinitive (faire).
Here "faire" will be considered as the Direct Object: You let [what?] -> "do", hence the non-agreement.
"Vous les avez laissés." (You left them.) would indeed agree as per the rule.
I know, this one remains tricky even for natives like me :)
Bonne journée !
Hi,
Can you please compare 'avoir l'habitude de' in the imperfect to ' je me suis habituée aux supermarchés anglais' from B1 above in Le Passé Composé. I have read the lesson on 'avoir l'habitude de' .
Bonjour Mike !
The difference is quite simple :)
- "avoir l'habitude" = to be used to, to tend to
- "s'habituer à" = to get used to
À bientôt !
