When would you use << faire >> as compared to other verbs? For example, "I am making a cake" as compared to "I am baking a cake". I guess I'm asking whether it's safe to substitute << faire >> for other French verbs that I haven't learnt if in English the verb can be replaced with "doing" or "making".

Asking a question in FrenchWouldn't "Allez-vous au cinéma ce soir" without a question mark be a statement i.e. Go to the cinema tonight?

"Je suis entré dans le salon sans que tu ne me voies." Since the main verb is not negated, aren't you NOT supposed to use the ne explétif?

In your example of the tu form of appeler, is that correct?

j'appelle

tu appelles Shouldn't this be (t'appelles)? If not, why?

il/elle/on appelle

nous appelons

vous appelez

ils/elles appellent

The explanations for the examples are very confusing. "We only ATE sweets." I'm not sure when someone would say this...

"d'entre eux" often refers to people. example: trois d'entre eux sont interessants as opposed to "trois d'elles". With aucun "d'entre eux" refers to both people and things?

Passé composé neverAre negative statements in the past, e.g. jamais, mostly passe composé rather than imparfait. I can't décide if 'never' is an ongoing state (i never learnt to ski) or a terminated action (i never ate it) but as i write this i am thinking context dependant , but since i have already written it i will post it ; )

Could you also say "C'est tres bon?" Instead of "Il est tres bon?"
