'I share my apartment with five people, including one girl.'
I realise the lesson is about 'dont', but could one use 'compris' or 'y compris' instead of dont? If so, which, and would compris need an e because the girl is feminine?
When would you use ressentir instead of se sentir?
I’ve seen this example a that doesn’t t follow the rule:. Elle pense à sa famille … Elle y pense
I’m interested to know how you’d say "this time last year" in French? In English, it emphasises that it’s an exact period ago, so more precise than "il y a un an".
In the context of this lesson is rien the negative version of quelque chose and personne the negative version of quelqu’un (ie nothing and no one) ?
Bonjour,
Above in the explanation, it is mentioned that l'imparfait has no clear beginning or end. But when I attempted the Fill-in-the-blanks Mon jour férié (Passé Composé vs Imparfait), there was a sentence - J’étais encore en pyjama vers 13h, (which is given as the correct answer). Whereas I had written, " J'ai encore été en pyjama vers 13h, and this answer was given as incorrect. But I don't understand, the end time is given here, (vers 13h). So why can't we select Passé composè?
Merci!
I believe this phrase is correct to express "I am 10 minutes late?": Je suis en retarde de dix minutes. I was marked wrong on a quiz. Thanks.
In the sentence "C'est la dernière fois que je t'amène avec moi !" Would "emmener" (= to take a person) be a better choice of verb?
Regarding this sentence:
Marie, quelle idée fantastique tu as eue
Why does the past participle eue agree here? Is it the case of the subordinate clause with que?
Should the sentence be:
Marie, quelle idée fantastique QUE tu as eue
