I just can't 'get' this.

It is the 'like' that confuses me there is no 'like' eg ça sent comme du chocolate. I cannot grasp 'who' is smelling or 'what' is smelling and I get it wrong each time!!!

Or how to send this quesiton!!!!! Caroline

I would have written Elle goûté la vanille for she tasted vanilla since it didn’t indicate she sensed the taste of vanilla, which is different.

This is super helpful.

I read the written French easily but understanding the spoken is so so so hard for me. This is just at the right level. I can understand maybe 1/3rd of it.
