Eventail or gamme

Hi Paul,
In business-speak, both terms can be translated in English as range but I would use 'éventail' to speak of colours or prices and 'gamme' for products.
So you will have -
haut de gamme = top of the range
bas de gamme = bottom of the range
Hope this helps!

Eventail literally means "fan" so I suppose it means range as in a fan that is extended wide to catch more air.
