first é or second é
This question relates to:French lesson "Conjugate -é(-)er, -e(-)er verbs - except -eter and -eler - in the present tense in French (Le Présent) "
Asked 1 month ago
Bonjour Nguyễn,
The -e which becomes é or è is always the one before the verb ending (-er) whereas you will leave the first one (if present) as it is:
Se lever -> Je me lève
Préférer -> je préfère
Attention: it's different with the subject pronouns "nous" and "vous"
Se lever -> nous nous levons
Préférer -> vous préférez
Mener -> nous menons
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
