Why does "a surprising choice" become "un choix surprenante" and not "un choix suprenant" ?

I have done the exercise and wrote 'un choix surprenant' ( which is correct ).  it is accepted by the bot which says 'Your answer matched mine'.
Maybe you could try it again and let us know if the bot keeps correcting you although I can't see why it would do this unless it is correcting another small error?

It shows “un choix surprenant” as correct on my undertaking of it. Sometimes the bot seems to both suggest an answer is “well done” or correct, and have a red line through a ‘minor difference’. Could that have been the case ?

Both phrases you note have single letter differences from < surprenant >.
