- mille huit cent quinze (like a normal number)
or
- dix huit cent quinze (eighteen hundred fifteen)

In the bonus examples (and perhaps in other places), I think it would aid (my) understanding if the examples were formatted in a side by side table. This would help make make the contrast clear, and make it easier to know to which example the expanatory notes pertain. On a quick or first reading, it's not clear (to me) whether "--> here..." refers to what's above or below. thanks.
