I understand that "après que" takes the indicative, but wouldn't the "j'étais soulagé(e) que tu . . ." take the subjunctive based on emotion?

Bonjour Phillip,

J'étais soulagé(e) que + Subjonctif  vs J'étais soulagé(e) après que + Indicatif

J'étais soulagée que tu sois arrivé à temps = I was relieved that you arrived on time

J'étais soulagée après que tu m'as appelée = I was relieved after you called me

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Are you asking about a sentence which contains après que and être soulagé?
