Pourquoi les mots "jeudi et vendredi" sont-ils pluriels alors que les autres jours sont singuliers (le lundi, le mardi, le mercredi)?  All of the activities seems to be habitual ones that occur on that day of the week -- even the ones on Thursdays and Friday

Hi White,

It is because of the 'et'.

In the exercise, it says -

... les jeudi et vendredi

it is not to repeat le as in -

le jeudi et le vendredi

Hope this helps!

Bonjour White !

So indeed, after another extensive research, it seems there's no real consensus on one form or the other, therefore either "les jeudis et vendredis" or "les jeudi et vendredi" are both acceptable in French.
I've now updated the exercise accordingly :)

Merci beaucoup et bonne journée !

But Cécile in the exercise it was it not “les jeudi et vendredi” - it was actually “les jeudiS et vendrediS” and I’m sure that was what prompted the original question.
