I don't understand "arrivés" at the end of the sentence. Is "on est" understood?

Est-ce que tu veux que je prenne de la crème solaire ou est-ce qu'on en achètera une fois arrivés ?

Hi William,

Take a look at the following Kwiziq lesson -

Hope this helps!

I would have said that arrivés was acting as an adjective here. Literally it means "once arrived", although we probably wouldn't say that in English.

I understand the construction "arrivés" and the reasoning behind it but where is its associated verb.

Hi William,

I have not done this particular exercise but in the following sentence -

'on en achètera une fois arrivés' = we'll buy some when we get there  (literally once arrived)

arrivés is a past participle here without the usual auxiliary verb.

Hope this helps!
