Missing apostrophe

Missing apostrophe

It seems a bit harsh to be marked wrong for merely omitting an apostrophe. I wrote quelle fasse and not qu'elle fasse which I thought was almost correct.

Yes, it certainly seems so. But the underlying computer algorithm doesn't know that you only omitted an apostrophe. It sees an entirely different word: quelle. It's beyond its scope to do a grammatical analysis and deduce that you may have just missed the apostrophe.

But, I want to learn the French grammar, so I'm happy if I get marked wrong if my response is incorrect.

Hi Ron, I can share your frustration but Chris is right in saying that 'quelle' is an entirely different word from 'qu'elle'. There is a great distinction between the two.
