Passer la premiere rather than passez la premier
This question relates to:French writing exercise "Taking the driving license test"
Asked 4 years ago

Hi Ian,
The two possibilities given for 'to go into first gear' are -
... passer la première (vitesse)
... passer en première(vitesse)
The word 'vitesse' is feminine.
Hope this helps!
