plus before or after

I did a review test and I answered: "Nous n'attendons plus Laura"

This follows the above example Je n'aime plus Theo

But, may answer was wrong, the correct answer was:
"Nous n'attendons Laura plus"

why?

I have checked and the only answer we are accepting in the quiz question is -

Nous n'attendons plus Laura

so we wouldn't accept an answer with 'plus' at the end.

ne ....plus goes around the verb

If you could point to where you saw this if elsewhere, we'll look at it.
