Pronouns as direct objects

In your example of double pronouns it is clear that the two pronouns both go before the verb: Example 1:  Je me brosse les dents -> Je me les brosse

I’m  brushing my teeth -> I'm brushing them

Example 2:  On the same page you have:   Tu te les brosses toutes la nuit.
In the first example - unlike the second - there is no ‘s’ after brosse when using les as a direct object pronoun?

Bonjour Averill,

The second example is written as "Tu te les brosses toutes les nuits" with brosses taking an -s because the subject is the second person of the singular form, which is the standard verb ending when conjugating "tu" with a reflevive -er verb in Le Présent (i.e. se brosser).

Take a look here for the verb endings of reflexive verbs in Le Présent:

Conjugate reflexive verbs in the present tense in French (Le Présent)

I hops this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Thank you - yes it’s obvious! I was not thinking!
