Subjunctive of "detester"

THe subjunctive form is "nous ne detestions pas" yet in your exercise you have "nous ne  detestons pas" ??

Hi Michael,

If I have understood your question correctly you are questioning examples like -

Nous ne détestons pas qu'elle soit là = We don't hate (the fact)  that she is here

The subjunctive applies to the second clause verb and not the first and as Maarten says it is in the present indicative which is correct.

Michael, “nous ne détestons pas” is in the present tense - the subjunctive is required in the verbal expression of the relative clause after ‘aimer que’ or ‘détester que’.

Have another look and you will see that neither aimer nor détester are conjugated in the subjunctive form in any of the examples.
