Use of subjunctive after ‘après que’

I have it in my notes that “après que” uses the indicative tense, so is there a reason why the subjunctive is used in this occasion ?

Bonjour Anita !!!

Thank you so much for spotting this indeed unforgivable mistake :)
This is definitely a grammar rule that even French people struggle with (evidence here), and indeed here the verb needed to be in Le Plus-que-Parfait!
Thanks to you, it's now been fixed :)

Merci encore et bonne journée !

I had a look at the exercise and I agree with you: there shouldn't be a subjunctive. Furthermore, in teh grammar lessons given for this sentence, the lesson "après que + indicatif" is explicitly listed. I also checked online and found that the use of the subjunctive with après, even though frequently heard, is still regarded wrong.

Wonder what Cécile has to say about this...
